Nursery Provision

Welcome to Dunsford Nursery

Our vision is to provide an environment which is both nurturing and fulfilling developmentally for all of our two to four year olds.

We work closely with our families to make sure each individual child feels settled and happy and that we meet their needs. We collaborate closely with the Robins Class team, ensuring that each child’s transition into the academy is as smooth as can be.

Childcare choices are changing and we are currently reviewing our provision to see if we are in a position to meet a potential increase in demand for our nursery. Please register your interest for more details about the upcoming expansion of childcare support.

Communication between Home and Nursery

We email home a weekly newsletter. In it we let families know about what the children have been up to and pass on any messages or reminders. We also use the Seesaw software system, an online record of EYFS learning journeys, to share photographs and observations about each individual child.

Daily Routines

Breakfast Club opens from 7:30am and is held in the Nursery ( Maple Class). A member of staff will greet you at the gate. A healthy breakfast is provided for those who want it. A variety of play activities are on offer for the children.

We welcome parents into the Maple Class from 9am. Miss Farress and Mrs Hooper will be busy setting everything up before this time, so please do not arrive too early, thank you.

“My son loves going to Nursery at Dunsford. He looks forward to it every day. He enjoys playing with his friends and is obviously relaxed and at home in the Daffodil Building. I feel very lucky to have the school on my doorstep.”
